On January 21, the Scott Haldane Foundation Lustrum Symposium was organised in the beautiful Evoluon in Eindhoven (NL). More than 130 listeners interested in diving medicine got a good overview of the developments in diving medicine and a look into the future. renowned speakers from all over Europe highlighted several aspects of dive safety, the theme of this symposium had. Both organization, program and speakers were of high standard.

The Scott Haldane Foundation celebrates its 40th anniversary by organizing an International Diving Medicine Symposium in the Evoluon in Eindhoven, The Netherlands on Saturday 21 of Januari 2017.  National and international speakers will discuss the different aspects of Diving Safety.  An interesting topic for diving physicians, physicians with intnerst in diving medicine, diving instructors and divers. Successful international Meeting on Ultrasound for Diving Research

The International Meeting on Ultrasound for Diving Research  organized  at the Swedish Armed Forces Diving and Naval Medicine Centre, Karlskrona, Sweden on 25th & 26th August 2015 has been an overwhelming success. 30 Delegates from 16 different countries (4 continents), had a great 2 day meeting where the latest developments in bubble detection were discussed. With great help of the Swedish Diving and Navalmedicine Centre there was a excellent session where all delegates could practice their bubble detection skills on navy divers. As discussed in the closing session results of this meeting should lead to a set of guidelines and standards for bubble monitoring methodology in diving research.


DAN Divers Day 2015 Amsterdam

DAN Europe invites you to participate in a special day dedicated to diving safety and research, as part of a series of international events called DAN Days.
The next one will be held at the Academic Medical Center, on the outskirts of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on Sunday 23rd August.

Keynote lecturers such as diving doctors, researchers and first aid experts will be holding interesting talks on medical research and advances, and diving safety issues. The DAN team will present a preview of the DSG (Diving Safety Guardian), a brand new logbook dedicated to participated research.

Due to the excellent cooperation between the Scott Haldane Foundation and DAN Europe, Scott Haldane students who are not (yet) a DAN member can benifit from the normal DAN member free registration for this DAN Divers Day by choosing registration as DAN-member (Ticket Member) and use "SHF" as  DAN membership number.
